Sharib Ali

Dr. Sharib Ali is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Oxford, Oxford, United Kingdom. Currently, he is working with multi-modal endoscopic data. From 10/2015-02/2018, he was associated with the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) and the University of Heidelberg, Germany, contributing for Supercomputing and Modeling for the Human Brain project, for registration and reconstruction of high-, ultra-high resolution histological brain sections to cope with the challenges of connectome tracking at cellular level. He has obtained his PhD degree in image processing from the University of Lorraine, France. He worked from 2012-2015 at the Centre de Recherche en Automatique de Nancy (CRAN UMR 7039 CNRS/University of Lorraine), Nancy, France. He obtained his Master’s degree in Computer Vision from University of Bourgogne, France in 2012. He worked as a research intern at Le2i research laboratory, France and Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee, USA. He has also worked as research intern at other international laboratories which includes VICOROB in Girona, Spain and HES-SO Valais in Sierre, Switzerland. His research interests include computer vision and medical image analysis.
